So, I was dickering with PvP characters...
And noticed something: PvP characters, at level 20, have 200 attribute points. PvE characters, by default, at level 20, have 170 attribute points.
The difference is made up by doing the two quests—and no, I'm not going to tell you which ones they are—that grant 15 attribute points apiece.
Now, it occurs to me that 'casual' players—those who may occasionally venture their PvE characters into the PvP world, but don't necessarily do every offered quest—will be placed at a significant disadvantage against characters that were PvP from the start, if they don't know how to get the extra 30 points.
Does anyone have pros/cons/suggestions on this point?

they could just make an exact PvP replica of their guy with a different name and use that.

The 2 'Quests' for the extra points are PvE quests... so.. what's your point exactly?

Gunner, I agree—people could do so.
My point is that they don't know that they should, i.e., many players make the assumption, based on the acquisition of attribute points with each new level, that attribute points are completely level based, as are health and energy.
They're not. Unless you're a PvP character.
Gildan, if you don't know that you should do those two specific quests, you miss out on 30 attribute points—again, unless you're a PvP character, in which case you get the extra 30 points for 'free'.
The 'fair' solution would appear to be to give PvE characters the points as they level up, and find something else interesting to use as prizes in those quests.

If they go to Destiny's forge, they'll see a exclamation mark on the head of a NPC. Follow that, they'll meet a forgotten one, which points them to the first 15 point attribute quest.
Same thing for the 2nd 15 point attribute quest. If people wanted everything straight up front, they'd just unlock stuff and make a pvp character. In fact, the past few patches have been making PvP more accessible to everyone (a good thing). However, let's keep the already fairly easy PvE portion of the game as it is, and not dumb it down even more please.

I see no merit to this argument.
PvP toons are supposed to be out of the box ready to go with it all, so that you can get into the action without needing to PvE.
PvE toons are supposed to be built from the ground up including all the annoying 'quest' stuff.
